Wonderful house with privacy and views
Casa Angular is a wonderful home located in the hills above Esperanza. My wife and I have stayed at several nice homes in past visits to Vieques, but this home is truly a five star property, with privacy, a beautiful setting, and magnificent views of the Caribbean. The house itself is a gem, with modern styling, a very nice layout, and the best outdoor spaces we have encountered. Enjoying an afternoon cocktail by the pool while gazing across the many fruit trees on the property toward the ocean was an outstanding experience. The modern kitchen has everything one needs for preparing any kind of meal and the new grill cooked our steaks to perfection. We ate fresh bananas from the yard every day. The beds are comfortable and the outdoor showers remind one that living in a place where the temperatures never get lower than 76 is sweet. The house was immaculate when we arrived and Colleen, the house manger, was very helpful with many suggestions on restaurants, buying food, and local activities. Mark was extremely responsive and takes great pride in making sure the house is one of the best on the island. I would note that the last 1/4 mile or so of road is not paved, so get a vehicle that has good clearance. As many have written, Vieques has some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean and they are an easy drive from the house. Good restaurants are plentiful. We were so pleased at how vibrant and helpful everyone was on the island. Vieques is back with a new, higher level of energy and optimism!!
